Sai Krishna (Joshua) Gomatam, MCA, MDIV

Pastor Sai Krishna (Joshua) was born and raised in a Hindu family. At age sixteen, an existential crisis – sparked by a quote from Blaise Pascal – drew him toward Christianity. Since then, he has been a passionate witness to the Christian faith.

He pursued theological studies at Denver Seminary, where he also served as an Associate Pastor. He later taught at Hyderabad Institute of Theology and Apologetics. Ps. Joshua is actively involved in equipping pastors and church leaders in India through the Right Theology Forum and has ministered widely among Indian diaspora communities across the U.S., Canada, Australia, and Africa.

He holds a BS in Computer Science and a Master of Computer Applications from India, along with an Master of Divinity in Biblical Studies from Denver Seminary. He is currently pursuing a doctoral degree in Old Testament, focusing on Ancient Near Eastern languages and archaeology, with research centered on purity and impurity laws in the book of Leviticus.

Mar 16th , 1996

The Beginning

March–December 1996: BBF launched its initial outreach efforts by traveling to Houston every third Saturday to encourage TCF. By coordinating preachers, singers, and youth retreats, BBF helped strengthen the fellowship. Joint fellowship gatherings were also held in Palestine. TX.

October 1996: First local outreach program inviting all North and South Indian churches, held at Grace Evangelical Free Church in Allen, TX. Started the Student Ministry at UT Dallas. It was later passed on to a BBF Youth Pastor who had a calling to serve students.

Jun 10th, 1997

The First Texas CFC

Dr. David Chigurupati and Dr. Joseph Paturi encouraged and assisted Bro. Daniel Mutyala to start the first CFC in Texas.  Held on the 2nd Saturday of the month, it was a 3-day conference held in Dallas at Grace Commission Center in Lewisville. Families joined from Houston, NJ, Ohio, Chicago, Kansas City, and Mississippi.

BBF was invited to participate in and attended the National Prayer gathering in Washington DC, on Oct. 4, 1997.

Jan 01st, 1998

Expansion Across Texas

For a more centralized location, BBF started meeting at Macedonia Baptist Church in Mesquite.

Outreach efforts helped establish fellowships through the Texas A&M–College Station student ministry and the East Texas University student fellowship Marshall, Texas.

CFC was held in Dallas. Local churches and the Houston fellowship joined together.

Fellowship of South Asian Christians (FOSAC) organization was established and BBF was part of the leadership team.

Feb 01st, 1999

Outreach & International Ministry

  • First outreach mission at Anand Bazaar
  • Houston Joined to Host CFC for the first time.
  • Global Telugu Christian Conference, Kuwait
  • Telugu Association of North Texas (TANTEX) christmas partnership
  • United Worship event with Gospel singers like Sis.Amshumati Mary, Bro.John Bilmoria, Sis.Kadambari etc.
  • During the concert news arrived of the killing of Graham Stains. A moment of silence was observed and peaceful protest was later conducted in mid-cities

2000 – 2003

Growth & Awareness

For all four years, CFC was held in Dallas.

As the BBF population grew and a more centralized location was needed, BBF moved to Richardson – First United Methodist Church.

Hosted many Preachers from India like Bro. Yesuanna, Rev. RRK Murthy, Rev. G. Samuel, Ps. Prasad Alluri and many more through the years.

An outreach event called “Unveiling Islam Seminar” was conducted by Dr. Caner to bring awareness to the community following the 9/11 attacks.

2004 – 2005

Regional Expansion

  • CFC Rotation Begins: A decision was made to rotate CFC conferences across cities.
  • Hurricane Katrina Relief Outreach – BBF served Katrina victims. Ministry permissions was granted with the help of Prestonwood Baptist Church and Southern Baptist Convention

2007 – 2017

Worship, Public Outreach & Future Vision

  • 2007 — Peaceful Downtown March, Dallas, Texas
    • Peaceful march with North Indian churches.
    • Advocated for persecuted Christians in Pakistan.
    • BBF hosted worship concert ministry with Singer Anil Kanth.
  • 2008–2017 — Passion Plays & Conferences, Texas
    • Hosted Good Friday Passion Plays from Chicago.
    • CFC Additions : Introduced Adult Bible Quiz and then Kids Bible Quiz and Talent Time events
  • 2017 — CFC Future Vision Proclamation at Austin Conference.

Continuing Legacy

Story Continues

To make disciple and help them in expanding the Kingdom of God along with Monthly fellowship, Picnics, Outreach, bible study, Christmas Carrols, lent prayers, Easter Sunrise and plenty more.

In the US Support Pastors, Theology Students for legal and financial support. Missionary support in India.
